- VO (version originale): the film runs in its original language, not dubbed. It means English audio only when English is the film’s original language.
- VOST (version originale sous-titrée): the original-language version, with subtitles added.
- E/f/d: English soundtrack with French (f) and German (d) subtitles.
VO and VOST can describe films in any original language. A French version means French audio, including a French dub of a foreign-language film. English Cinema Lausanne only includes screenings with English audio; English subtitles alone do not qualify.
