Action Picks

Zach Cregger throws medical courier Bryan into a single fateful night that collapses into chaos, and the pace barely lets you breathe. This R-rated horror sci-fi runs a lean 95 minutes of pure forward motion, no filler, no drag. The dark and the dread land far bigger in a theater.

Peter Parker is pushed toward a change he may not control while facing a threat no one can even see, and the set pieces earn their scale. Destin Daniel Cretton directs Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jon Bernthal in an action adventure that critics rate 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and audiences put at 8.1 on IMDb. Screenings are thin this week, so plan ahead if you want the full big-screen spectacle.
